Classic French Onion Mix Recipes

InstaPot French Onion Soup with toast

 

With caramelized onions, fresh herbs, crusty bread, and melty cheese all swimming in a rich beef broth, this is a natural recipe for deliciousness.

Ingredients

 

  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1.5 sweet onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 pkt "The Dippin' Family" Classic French Onion Dip Mix
  • 4 cups beef stock
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp minced Garlic
  • Stale Baguette, cut into slices
  • 8 oz Gruyere cheese block, shredded

 

Instructions

  • Turn your Instant Pot to the SAUTE function.
  • Add 3 tbsp butter to the pot and allow it to melt. Then, add the sliced onions.
  • Stir the onions in the pot for about 20 to 25 minutes until they caramelize to your liking
  • Once the onions have caramelized, add ¼ cup of dry white wine and continue sautéing until the wine cooks down.
  • Once the wine is gone from the pot, add 4 cups beef stock2 tsp Worcestershire sauce1 ½ tsp minced garlic, and 1 pkt "The Dippin' Family" Classic French Onion Dip Mix
  • Turn the pot to HIGH and pressure cook for 15 minutes. Allow for a 10-minute Natural Pressure Release, then perform a Quick Release.
  • Spoon the soup into 5-6 oven-safe bowls. Place enough bread slices to cover the top of the soup, then sprinkle gruyere cheese on top.
  • Place the soup crocks on a cookie sheet and turn the oven to a High Broil. Place in the oven under the broiler and broil until the cheese starts to bubble and toast.

Cheesy French Onion Filet


Creamy French Onion cheese sauce, over a delectable moist chicken breast filet.

Ingredients  

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 Cup "The Dippin Family" Classic French Onion Dip Mix
  • 3/4 tsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • sprinkle of parsley

Instructions

 

  • Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat
  • Once melted- whisk in flour to make a roux - cook 1-2 minutes
  • Slowly add milk & water - whisking briskly to fully incorporate & keep milk from scalding
  • Keep whisking 5-8 minutes to thicken sauce
  • Remove from heat, "The Dippin Family" Classic French Onion Dip Mix teriyaki, cheese & parsley - whisk in well
  • Serve warm
  • Ladle over your grilled chicken
  • garnish with additional parsley after plating.
