Smokin' Southwest Chipotle Dip Mix Recipes

Chipotle Mango Avocado Chutney:
Tropical blend tastes great as a dip served with tortilla chips or spooned over grilled chicken or shrimp.

1 pkt. "The Dippin Family" Smokin' Southwest Chipotle Dip Mix, unprepared

1 bag petite frozen mangos ( cubed)

1 small diced avocado

1 can petite diced tomatoes. (drained)

20 oz. can pineapple, drained well

1 stalk of cilantro finely diced

1 small white onion diced
2 Tbls. water

~ Measure 2 Tbls. Smokin' Southwest Chipotle Dip Mix.

Add thawed mangoes, avacado, pineapple, cilantro, and tomato into a bowl.

~Stir in Southwest chipotle dip mix. Mix thoroughly.
~ Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

Note: If desired, make a creamy dip with the remaining 1 Tbls. Chipotle Dip Mix, stirring it into 2/3 cup sour cream or yogurt.

Honey Chipotle Slow Cooker Ribs

 

Delicious slow cooked tender Chipotle Honey glazed ribs. ( You can also do these on the grill)

Sauce

  • 1 Cup ketchup
  • 2 tbs Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbs Apple Cider vinegar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 tbs salt
  • 1tbs paprika
  • 1 tbs Worcester sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbs cup garlic powder
  • 3 CHIPOTLE PEPPERS IN ADOBO More if desired

Ribs

  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 rack of ribs
  • 1pkt "The Dippin Family" Smokin' Southwest Chipotle Dip Mix.
  • Olive oil

 

#1: Combine one pkt of "The Dippin Family" Smokin' Southwest Chipotle Dip Mix. and olive oil to make a paste to rub on the ribs. Rub the mixture all over both sides of the ribs and place the ribs on an aluminum lined baking tray and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, turn and cook for 15 more. 

STEP #2: Add all of the BBQ Sauce ingredients into a food processor and blend together.

STEP #3: Place sliced onion in the bottom of a slow cooker and place the ribs on top. Pour the BBQ Sauce on top and cover (make sure to reserve a bit of the sauce for serving!) . Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
